Dam.
Hey Guys!
Thursday after work, my sister (Melissa) and I went to see the Tablerock Dam. (To get there you just go down the dam road...you can take all the dam pictures you want and they even have a dam tour! It's perfect for anyone that's a dam freak or even if you're not!) Some people don't even know what the flippin' big deal is with Tablerock Dam. Thursday was the first time in 50 years that the flood gates have been open. This could be an once in a lifetime spectical! Saturday I went to Shadowrock Park in Forsyth. It's flooded also, which is kind of the downfall of Forsyth's placement. Anytime there's excess water, to keep it out of Branson, it flows into the park. The water has completely covered the lower bridge and is within ten feet of the high bridge that connects over Bull Shoals Lake. Swan Creek flows into Bull Shoals, but at the moment is flowing BACKWARDS, but I can't tell how far because the road that follows Swan Creek's banks is flooded.
Oh-just a little sidebar: I got accepted into nursing school this last week. I feel like such a hotshot saying that. Rather than "I go to OTC.", I get to say "I'm in nursing school. Oh? You're still at OTC. Don't they accept people who are homeless and not really all that smart. I think they do, because I went to school there too!" I'm going to Gibson Tech in Reeds Spring, Missouri. It's about a 35 minute drive from the Ridge. It's just a LPN program, but some associate degree RN programs are more likely to accept you with the LPN program already completed. Plus, health care is all the time needing smokin' hot nurses, like myself.
Later!
